Jackson Godfrey Mungoni is a recognised carbon markets and sustainable development specialist who focuses on voluntary carbon programmes, regulatory compliance, and ESG integration. With more than two decades of experience across both development and corporate sectors, he advises investors, governments, and project developers on designing and implementing high-integrity climate initiatives in complex regulatory environments.
A founding member and current Vice-Chairperson of the Zimbabwe Carbon Association, Jackson has played a central role in shaping the country’s carbon governance framework and supporting developers to align with emerging international market mechanisms. His regional experience spans Zimbabwe, South Sudan, Malawi, and Lesotho, and includes leadership as Country Director at Namene Solar, where he oversaw a large-scale Gold Standard carbon project delivering over 250,000 solar lights to rural communities and improving livelihoods for more than half a million people.
With a technical background in Agricultural Engineering, Jackson brings a practical, systems-driven approach to carbon finance and project delivery. He supports organisations in developing climate projects that meet rigorous international standards while ensuring transparent community benefit-sharing, strong social safeguards, and long-term environmental integrity.
