Abigail Kidd is a marine conservation scientist and sustainability expert specialising in biodiversity governance, conservation policy, and nature-based solutions. She brings a science-led, practical approach to translating ecological research into governance frameworks that support ESG strategy, risk management, and measurable environmental and social outcomes.
She advises conservation NGOs, government institutions, and international bodies on policy development, governance transitions, and alignment with SDG targets and national designation goals. Abigail serves as an OECM Advisor to the IUCN World Commission on Protected Areas, supporting coastal and marine protected area governance in the Western Indian Ocean, and advises on marine spatial planning, fisheries and conservation framework reform, and protected area governance, including work on IUU fishing prosecutions.
Alongside her policy work, Abigail has senior corporate sustainability consulting experience, advising clients across live events, media, and entertainment on ESG strategy, B Corp certification, and impact assessment - including major projects such as Glastonbury Festival, Coldplay tours, and BBC Earth Experience. Her expertise includes biodiversity impact assessment, environmental risk evaluation, and nature-related performance measurement.
